Delivery of State-of-the-Art Biogas laboratory Equipment to Al Akhawayn University

An important milestone for the AMBER project was reached this month with the delivery of laboratory biogas equipment to Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane, one of the project’s partner universities. The arrival of the state-of-the-art Automated Methane Potential Test System (AMPTS III Light) from BPC Instruments marks a new era in teaching and researching biogas production at AUI. Following the equipment’s arrival, a comprehensive online training session was conducted by the supplier for the entire AMBER project research team. This training provided valuable insights and practical experience to ensure that the team is fully familiar with the setup, operation, and utilization of the AMPTS III Light equipment.
The equipment is equipped with multiple reactor bottles, carbon dioxide absorption units, and a gas detection unit, enabling parallel experimentation. Additionally, it features web-based software for accurate remote online tracking of methane production.
This advanced equipment, in addition to supporting and advancing the teaching of biogas production technologies in Morocco, enables the research team to explore the intricacies of biogas production more deeply. We are extremely excited about the possibilities ahead and the invaluable insights we will uncover through our research efforts.
